Brady Fishler

Brady Fishler Brady has been playing professionally since an early age while playing drums with his musician parents. In addition to performing, Brady is also a long time music educator, on his teaching web site www.bradysdrumstudio.com , Brady explains his first exposure to music. "My parents, Ken and Bobby Fishler "Bobby and I" recorded on Liberty Records in 1968 and were produced by the legendary Tommy Oliver of "Name That Tune", Marty Cooper "The Alhambra Man", and Eric Jacobson who went on to produce people like Chris Isaac... I used to hang out at their rehearsals and try to play along. My parents noticed me sitting in the other room with my coffee cans, blocks and barbeque baster brushes trying to play along. They thought that was cool at first but realized after a while that I wasn't just messing around and really wanted to play... I had been playing on coffee cans and pots since I was 2. On my 4th birthday, my parents got me a real set." Brady started working professionally when he was 14 years old. He had his own band with friends from school that played weddings and corporate functions.
Brady studyed with Anthony J. Cirone for 4 years at San Jose State (Cirone was principal percussionist of the San Francisco Symphony for over 20 years). Then he switched majors to Improvised Music Studies. At this time, Brady started playing the jam at Garden City with Smith Dobson and started working with local acts in San Jose. At SJSU he played every type of music ranging from Concert Band to African drumming crew. He also played in the world famous Clown Band at Great America for a couple of seasons during this time. Brady studied improvisation with late Professor Dwight W. Cannon and learned a lifetime of information.

David Sugarman

David Sugarman David has been playing in and around the Bay Area for decades as well as having spent nearly 8 years as a studio player in Los Angeles.

Beginning in High School, David played in many Bay Area bands including The New Truckin' Band, Sweet Asylum, Roadshow, William Goat and the Twilights (The Goat Band) and, most notably, Streamliner, who signed with and recorded for the Warner Bros. Spin-off label Sire records. He has been lucky enough to grace the same stages as The Doobie Bros., Greg Kihn, Y&T, Bonnie Raitt (w/ Freebo), Robin Ford, Cheech & Chong, and The Sons of Champlin. His guitar playing could be heard on such TV shows as Hunter, Hardball, The Commish (4 years), and, most recently on The Family Guy CD.

His influences are many and varied, R&R, R&B, Blues, Country, and Jazz, and include Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, Lucky Peterson, Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, and Wes Montgomery. His philosophy of music is that it should elevating for the soul and enervating for the feet (the better to dance), and that if he has as good a time as possible while playing that listeners will have just as good a time as well. Brian Vanoli

Brian Vanoli Brian has been playing electric bass professionally over several decades in the SF Bay Area. Musical projects he has been involved in range from Rock, Jazz, Country, to R&B and Blues. Many early years of playing were influenced by jazz/rock fusion recordings from the 70's by Chick Corea, Billy Cobham, Jean Luc Ponty, Jeff Beck, John Scofield, Weather Report & the like. Also, as a bass player, the funk music scene of the 70's and 80's had a magnetic attraction introducing new innovative styles of slapping & syncopation that Brian studied and pursued to master. After playing and traveling in many different musical projects over the years, the beat, feel & groove of R&B tends to drive Brian's musical pulse today. It's been said by some, that the Groove Griller's line-up of musicians is a real good fit of personalities and talent. Brian feels fortunate to hold down the 'Bottom Line' with this group of serious Grillers
