What's goin' on?

When you do the research, it turns out that nearly every country's
intelligence agency thought Saddam Hussein had WMD and WMD programs.
Some believe that he shipped them out, but more of the top investigations
are showing that it's most likely that he DID NOT have WMD or ongoing
WMD programs.

If this is actually the case, how is it that the whole world got
it wrong? Of course the world was divided on whether there should
be a war, but most everyone thought Saddam had WMD. Former CIA head
George Tenet called it a "slam dunk". Even France thought he had WMD.

What does this mean?

I think it means that if we were in Saddam's situation, we would
have developed WMD.
We would have a Nuclear program, as we now do.
We would have a Chemical program, as we now do.
We would have a Biological program, as we now do.
We would have a long range delivery system... and so on.

And since Saddam is evil and we are not, he must also have WMD.
Tons and tons of WMD. It's a logical step, I guess.

But the real question is "what does THAT mean?"
Does it mean we are holier than thou?
What's goin' on?

But this WMD issue proves it's true, we DO need to keep WMD out of
the hands of those who might start a war.

Doesn't anyone listen to Marvin Gaye anymore?
"War is not the answer... What's goin' on?"
